为了重温这段历史，BBC土耳其记者雷金·阿尔斯兰与我一同踏上了探访之旅。我们发现，亚美尼亚文化和社区的遗迹如今已寥寥无几。古老的教堂和荒废的村庄成为历史的见证，而那些幸存者及其后代则以不同的方式纪念着他们的亲人。在走访过程中，我们看到了烛光、鲜花、涂鸦以及那些凄美的低语，这些都是对逝去生命的缅怀。尽管一百年过去了，这段历史仍然难以讲述，但拒绝忘掉是对那些失去生命的人们最好的纪念。
